Book on renowned Islamic scholar, philanthropist, Sheikh Shehu Uba set for launch in Kano

A book written on a renowned Islamic Scholar and Kano-based philanthropist, Sheikh Shehu Uba is scheduled for launch on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at the Bayero University Kano (BUK) new site.

SOLACEBASE reports that the book titled Shehu Uba “Garkuwan Ilimi” was written by Malam Adamu Muhammed.

A statement issued by Sheikh Shehu Uba’s son, Abdulrasheed on Saturday,  said at a pre-launch news conference, Malam Muhammed noted that he chose to write about Sheikh Shehu Uba because of his enviable contribution to Kano especially in the area of education and community service.

He said writing about great achievers, like Sheikh Uba, the Chairman Sharada Juma’at Mosque is a way of motivating others, especially the youth.

The author said dignitaries expected at the occasion include Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Col. Sani Bello (Rtd), the former military governor of Kano State, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, the founder of Maryam Abacha American University, who is the chief launcher, Senator Ibrahim Muhammad Ida,

the Wazirin Katsina, the chairman of the occasion and Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, the Vice Chancellor, Bayero University Kano,  among others.
