Centre recommends 5 Kano High Court judges, 13 other judicial officers for excellent performance reward

Centre for Human Rights and Social Advancement, a Non-Governmental Organization has lauded five Kano High Court Judges and recommended for reward of excellent performance in the management and delivery of administration of justice in the state.

Besides that, the centre also submitted names of 13 other heads of courts include Khadi, worships of magistrate court, and judges of Upper Sharia court in Kano.

A statement by Executive Director of the Centre, Yusha’u Sani Yankuzo, made available to SOLACEBASE on Monday, made the passionate recommendation through the Chief Judge of Kano State who doubles as Chairman, Judicial Service Commission of Kano, Hon. Justice Nura Sagir.

Those distinguished for recommendation among several others are, Hon. Justice Dije Abdu Aboki, Hon. Justice Farouk Lawan Adamu, Hon. Justice A’isha Mahmoud, Hon. Justice Nasiru Saminu and Hon. Justice Abdu Maiwada Abubakar.

According to the statement, the justices have demonstrated high sense of uprightness, punctuality, diligence, prudence and creativity in all areas of adjudications.

“In it’s quest for an improved administration of justice, the Centre has carried out an in-depth survey to assess the performance of all the high Court Judges, Khadis, Magistrates  and Shari’a Court Judges in the state.”

“The outcome of the survey revealed that the listed judges have demonstrated utmost prudence and dedication to duty. Their skills and quality of adjudication are remarkable and noteworthy.” Yankuzo noted.

Also recommended for reward include Hon. Khadi Mustapha Abubakar Lalloki, (Shari’a Court of Appeal); Hon. Judge Mallam Aliyu M. Kano, (Upper Shari’a Court); His worship Hajara Garba Ahmed, (Chief Magistrate); His worship Umma Sani Kurawa, (Chief Magistrate) and His worship Hanif Sunusi Chiroma (Chief Magistrate).

Other on the list are His worship Zuhura Madaki (Senior Magistrate); His worship Zubairu Inuwa, (Senior Magistrate); His worship Sadiqu Sammani Lawan, (Senior Magistrate); His worship Musa Ibrahim Umar, (Magistrate Grade II); Hon. Judge Mallam Salisu M.Isa (Upper Sharia Court, Shahuci); Hon. Judge Mallam Abdullahi Halliru, (Upper Shari’a Court Hausawa) and Hon. Judge Mallam Mustapha Ashiru  Bala l, (Shari’a Court Bichi).

The Centre urged Kano state Judiciary to set up a reward system to recognize the excellent performance of the judges so as to motivate others in the judicial system of the state.
