Community turbans former CBN deputy governor, 21 others in Kano

The Tudun Wada Community in Nassarawa Local Government area of Kano State, in efforts to strengthen the traditional institution and values, turbaned 22 of its citizens with various traditional Tittles.

SOLACEBASE reports that some of those turbaned with traditional tittles  include a former Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ahmad Garba as Wambai of Tudunwada, Gen. Umar Usman Rtd as Wali of Tudunwada, and Col. Yakubu Bako as Danmajen Tudunwada.

Others Turbaned are Col. Habibu Shuaibu as Galadima of Tudunwada, Col. Umar Malami as Tafida of Tudunwada, a Retired Head of Civil Service Rabiu Zakaria as Turaki of Tudunwada and Mallam Yusuf Yunusa as DanMasanin Tudunwada, Barrister Saidu Muhammad as Madaki of Tudunwada and many others.

Speaking during the epics traditional ceremony, the Village Head of Tudunwada, Alhaji Ibrahim Aliyu, said the Turbaning of sons of Tudunwada was done deliberately to stir up necessary development and bring closer persons’ of high esteems to their ancestral homes.

Aliyu, hinted that Tudunwada is one of the most peaceful area in Kano, even with its cosmopolitan nature.

He said, most of those Turbaned were highly known for their contributions to the development of the area in their personal areas of lives, as such a reciprocal arrangements to ginger them up to do more is highly desirable.

An elected Councillor of the area, AbduRazak Ya’u, explained that, Tudunwada is known for its loyalty and respect to the traditional institution and the constituted authorities.

He assured that Tudunwada would continue to be a good symbol of development and peace not only for Kano but to entire Nigeria State.

Highlight of the event was Horse racing, traditional dancing, drama session and other traditional activities.
