COVID-19 : NCDC confirms 5 new deaths, with 197 fresh infections

Nigeria has confirmed 197 new cases of COVID-19 with 5 deaths in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this in a tweet on Thursday.

It said till date, 55829 cases have been confirmed, out of 433,206 sample tests conducted.

Solacebase reports that 43810 cases have been discharged and 1075 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The tweet added that 197 new cases reported from 13 states including the FCT are- Plateau (83), Lagos (48), Kaduna (17), FCT (16), Ogun (11), Katsina (7), Imo (4), Edo (3), Nasarawa (3), Rivers (2), Bayelsa (1), Oyo (1), Osun (1)
