Kano State Government has said that all the nine COVID-19 suspected samples taken for tests have returned negative.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa announced this at a news conference in Kano on Friday.
Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa said with this, the state is free from the dreaded coronavirus disease presently.
He insisted that the government is doing a lot to ensure that Kano is free from the COVID 19 Pandemic.
The commissioner there urged residents to remain calm as the government is doing everything humanly possible to prevent the emergence of the disease in the state, noting that Kwanar Dawaki diagnosis facility is the second isolation centre earmarked by the state in the event of a positive person with the COVID-19 in the state.
He similarly advised residents to make use of the emergency response numbers that include, 0909- 399-5444 or 0909-399-5333 in case of any suspected case.
