COVID-19: Qadiriyya Declares National Prayers On Saturday

Sheikh Qaribullah Charitable foundation under the chairmanship of Sheik Karibullah  Muhammadu Nasiru Kabara has declared Saturday as National prayer day to supplicate to God against the spread of coronavirus and other diseases.

The Sectary General of the foundation, Rabiu Gambo Abdullah told Solacebase on Thursday that despite Kano not having any patient with the disease there is a need to embark on the prayer session to appease God for protection.

He said the prayer sessions would hold on Saturday 21th March   2020.

“The prayer is to provide some comfort and encouragement to those that are affected and those that are trying not to get infected,” said Gambo.

“We want to make sure that people realize this is a serious crisis,” He added.

He said they are sure that the prayer session would serve the purpose and prevent the spread of the Virus.

He also called on the people to join the prayer session and those that would not be able to attend to observe their own at home.

“ We all have to stand on our own belief as individuals but at the same time be cautious about what we are doing, the way we are doing it, and who we do it with.,”  to reduce the chance of spreading the virus.

He urges people to follow the sanitation guidelines and stay home if someone is sick.

He called people to come out en mass on Saturday and pray against the spread of the disease.

Gambo said turning to faith is powerful for some, but recognizes it is not the only thing people must do to reduce the spread of the virus.

He also said the session is open to everyone. It would be recalled that the US President Trump has declared  Sunday as national prayers to prevent the Covid-19.
