We are not aware of deployment of Balarabe Sule to Kano as CP-Police

The Police has debunked report on the deployment of Commissioner of Police, Balarabe Sule to Kano Command for election duty as CP.

SOLACEBASE reports that a viral story online on Monday said Balarabe Sule, a commissioner of police, may be posted to Kano as CP for election duty alongside ACP Abubakar Shika and ACP Adamu Babayo.

However, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone one Headquarters, in Kano, Department of Finance and Administration, DCP D.R. Abibe, said on Tuesday that the zone is not aware of any of such deployment at all.

Abibo disclosed this while receiving supporters of New Nigeria Peoples Party led by Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi who had a peaceful demonstration to the zone .

A statement issued by SP Abubakar Zayyanau Ambursa, Police Public Relations Officer, Zone One, Headquarters, said the protesters complained that CP Balarabe Sule who was DC Operations Kano Command as well as former Chief Security Officer to governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje may be deployed to Kano as CP for election duty.

The statement said DCP Abibo urged them to continue their peaceful procession and maintain law and order.

‘’The police will remain apolitical and impartial in the discharge of its constitutional duties,’’ Abibo assured.
