Ex- Kano Assembly Speaker dies
The former Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar Karaye is dead.
Solacebase reports that the former Speaker died at ninety-six years, on Monday, at his Karaye residence after a protected illness.
A statement issued by Karaye emirate council Information Officer Haruna Gunduwawa said Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar Karaye was the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly from 1979 to 1983.

He left behind two wives, six children and many Grandchildren.
Meanwhile, the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II has led the funeral prayer of late former Speaker of the State House of Assembly in the second republic, Abdullahi Abubakar Karaye.
The funeral prayer which took place at the Karaye Emir’s palace was observed by hundreds of Muslims.
He had since laid to rest at Limanci cemetery in Karaye town.
