The Chairman of the Ekiti State Governorship Primary Election Committee, Governor Tanko Al-Makura, has declared Dr. John Kayode Fayemi the winner of the election.
He said Fayemi polled a total of 941 votes to beat 32 other aspirants while Segun Oni scored 481 votes and Kayode Ojo came third with 281 votes out of the 2337 delegates accredited to vote.
He said Fayemi scored the highest number of votes and satisfied all requirements was hereby declared the winner.
Al-Makura said 2313 were total valid votes.
Al-Mankura thanked contestants and security agents and delegates for cooperating with the committee to make the exercise a success.
