Federal Lawmaker Dies In Lagos

House of Representatives member, representing Ibeju Lekki Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Mr Abayomi Ayeola, is dead.

Mr. Ayeola was said to have died at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos on Sunday afternoon after a brief illness.

A family source told journalists that the late lawmaker was critically ill before his death.

The two-term lawmaker was also the flag bearer of the party for Ibeju Lekki Federal Constituency for the third term of the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 general elections.

Until his death, he was the leader of the Lagos State caucus in the House.
