A fire outbreak has destroyed Aliko petrol filling station, on Maiduguri road in Kano metropolis.
An eyewitness told Solacebase that the fire that started around 12.00 midnight on Saturday, occurred while a truckload of fuel was discharging its content at the station.

The eyewitness said two trucks were at the station with one already discharging fuel when the incident occurred, hence immediately the fire was raging the driver of the other truck quickly manoeuvre out the other truck to a safe place.

The fire was later extinguished by six fire trucks (Tenders) with firefighters and good Samaritans after almost an hour.

Solacebase gathered that it was a nightmare for residents of the area whose houses are adjacent to the filling station in Tarauni area as many of them rushed out scampering for safety.
