Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has approved the appointment of Engr Abdullahi Garba Ramat as the Director General of Kano Metropolitan with immediate effect.
In a statement, by the Chief Press Secretary, Kano State Governor, Abba Anwar, disclosed that the Mr Ramat’s appointment, alongside heads of state government agencies and departments, were with immediate effect.
According to Mr Anwar, the governor charged the new appointees to make good use of technology in making their assigned responsibilities effective and efficient.
“We have to move with the new technology. All we want is IT-based discharge of our responsibilities,” he added.
Engr Ramat was candidate for House of Representatives in Ungogo/Minjibir Federal Constituency, in the 2019 general elections.
A co-founder of RAMAT Foundation, a humanitarian foundation helping destitute and less privilege persons with both education materials and health outreach, he is the CEO of AG RAMAT GLOBAL LINK ELECTRONICS, a company that specialized in importing all kind of computers, computer accessories and computer aided gadgets and security services.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bayero University, Kano and a Master’s Degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering from JNU Rajasthan State of India.
He equally has a PhD. (in view) on Wireless Communication from VIT Jaipur, India.
