Kano state Governor Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, on Wednesday presented over N219.7bn 2019 budget to the state house of assembly tagged “ budget of “sustainable development. “
Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje,who was accompanied by top government officials and commissioners, said his administration is determined to ensure all the projects his administration initiated are executed as well as the one inherited from preceding government for the development of the state.
The capital expenditure of the budget stood at 136 billion naira and 644 million 786 hundred thousand naira, while the recurrent expenditure was 83 billion naira 10 million and 460 thousand naira.
Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said the focus of 2019 budget will be on completing ongoing projects in Health, Agriculture, Rural roads, Education, and power, water and other critical infrastructures.
The speaker of the house Kabiru Alasan Rurum, according to Solacebase said the house will give the budget due consideration and pass it in time,
He called on the civil societies, members of public as well as other stakeholders to synergize with the house during public hearing.
