Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Monday sacked Director-General of the Bureau of Lands, Bolaji Edun.
The Governor immediately announced Abdullahi Bolakale Yusuf as his replacement.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye said, “There is a cessation of the office of the DG Bureau of Lands in the state.”
He explained that “Lands’ is now a department under the recently signed Geographic Information Service, GIS, law.

According to him,“The GIS, now overseas land and related issues in the state.’’
The removal of Edun who was appointed barely a year ago by the governor was comings coming some hours after the governor dissolved his executive council.
