Gov. Ganduje receives Hausa version of SDGs document , pledges support
Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Gandunje has received the Hausa translated version of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) document produced by the office of the Special Adviser.
Solacebase reports that receiving the document on Friday during a visit by Special Adviser on SDGs, Barr. Habib Yahaya Hotoro, Ganduje pledged to support the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the state.
The governor emphasized the importance of the SDGs and the need to meet the goals in the best interest of mankind.
Governor Ganduje commended the office for this innovative idea and pledged more support to monitor SDGs indicators in the state.

The governor added that the office is very active under the leadership of Barr. Habib Yahaya Hotoro and will continue to collaborate with development partners like UNDP, UNICEF, JICA, etc.
In a remark, Barr. Habib Yahaya Hotoro said the Hausa translation of SDGs by his office is aimed at localizing the SDGs at state and local levels.

‘’It will also help in understanding and monitoring the indicators at a local level, ‘’said the Special Adviser.
The Special Adviser appreciated the governor for his tremendous support to the Office and his determination in ensuring that Kano achieves the SDGs by 2030.
