2023: Gov. Sanwo-Olu resubmits Abayomi, Omotoso, other commissioner nominees to assembly for confirmation
Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has presented a new list of commissioner-nominees to the state assembly for screening and confirmation.
The new list consists of the former state commissioner for health, Professor Akin Abayomi, and Gbenga Omotosho, former commissioner for information, among others.

The new list is coming a few days after the Governor’s Advisory Committee held a meeting with the governor and the speaker.

It could be recalled that the lawmakers had a few days ago rejected seventeen of the thirty-nine names submitted for confirmation.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, had in his reaction to the various outcry over the rejection of the 17 Nominees said it was nothing special.
