Gunmen on Monday killed a Policeman and abducted an expatriate Engineer with Dantata and Sawoe construction company in Kano.
The incident which happened at about 7.45am on Monday morning occurred at ring road by pass, according to eyewitnesses.
An eyewitness told Solacebase that the three gunmen who came in a black VW Golf first shot at the Policeman who was in the car guarding the expatriate called Mike who is supervising the road construction before abducting the Engineer.
A security personnel guarding the construction company equipment , Abuabakar Sani Muhammad told Solacebase that the incident occurred when they were about commencing the day’s activities.
“ The three gunmen started shooting sporadically immediately they arrived and shot the Mobile Policeman attached to the abducted Engineer and also a stray bullet hit a truck driver in the area,” said Abubakar Muhammad.
Spokesman of the Kano Police Command SP Magaji Musa Majia who confirmed the incident to Solacebase said the command will soon give details of the crime.
Solacebase recalled that this incident is coming a week after the killing of a Syrian in Kano metropolis last week with the abduction of his son by some gunmen.
