Reading the lead judgment on Friday, Justice Tijjani Abubakar in a unanimous ruling said Ganduje was duly elected

However not satisfied with the ruling of the tribunal PDP and its governorship Candidate Abba Kabiru Yusuf proceeded to the appeal court to challenge the judgment.
The five-member panel dismissed the 24 grounds of appeal filed by PDP and its governorship candidate Abba Kabiru Yusuf noting that appellants failed to prove that there was over-voting, Violence, and non-compliance with the electoral act 2010 as amended.
The other judges include Justice Tijjani Abubakar, Paul O. Elechi, Muhammad Mustapha, G.O. Kolawole and Abubakar Umar.
