The escaped Lion from Kano Zoo on Monday morning has returned to its cage voluntarily.
The Managing Director of the Zoo, Alhaji Said Gwadabe told Solacebase about 7.00 am on Monday that the Lion willingly returns to its cage after they left the door of the cage open with a goat as food.
He said the animal voluntarily around 7:00 a.m. on Monday return to its cage after been called by the staff of the Zoo that normally feeds it on a daily basis.
According to him, “The operation was to be conducted after the arrival of some experts from the National Park, Abuja but luckily around 7:00 a.m. today our staff were able to cajole it back to its cage.
Solacebase recalled that the reinforcement from the National Park, Abuja arrived Kano around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday for the operation but could not carry out any activity due to darkness and lack of illumination.
Also, the escaped lion was said to have killed three goats and an ostrich before moving into the bush within the premises of the zoological garden since Saturday night.
