Former NNPC Group Managing Director, Dr Maikanti Baru is dead.
His death was confirmed by NNPC GMD, Mele Kyari in a tweet on Saturday.
A family source informed Solacebase that the former NNPC GMD died on Friday night in Abuja after a brief illness.
My brother, my friend and my mentor, Dr Maikanti Kachalla Baru, immediate past GMD of NNPC died late last night. He was of exemplary character and disposition. May Allah forgive him and have mercy upon him.

Solacebase reports that late Maikati Baru, 60, was at the helm of the Corporation from July 4th 2016 to July 7th 2019.
