Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday ordered the immediate reopening of the Shasha market.
Solacebase reports that the Shasha market was shut on the governor’s order after an ethnic riot that claimed lives and destruction of properties
The order for reopening of the market was reached during a meeting with the traditional rulers, the Baale of Shasha and the Serki Hausawa Shasha, held at the Western Hall, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The governor stated that due to the economic situation and the peculiarities associated with the state, he is reopening the market for the traders to continue with their commercial activities.
