Suspected gunmen stormed Government Girls Secondary School, Moriki, Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara state on Wednesday night.
A source told Solacebase that the bandits attacked the school at 10.00pm and came into the compound through the fence surrounded by bush.
The source said the bandits started shooting sporadically heading to the female hostels in attempt to abduct the girls but that was not successful hence they made a u- turn to the staff quarters where they went away with some staff.
‘’They went away with about seven people including a driver, cooks and their children’’, said the source.
Another source said the gunmen had resistance from security agents that engaged them in gun battle.
Although the police is yet to comment on the issue.
