JUST IN: Kano Anti Graft Agency Requests For Security Reinforcement As It Secures Order To Arrest Emir Of Kano Aides
Kano State Public Complaints And Anti Corruption Commission on Tuesday requested reinforcement of security personnel as it intensifies investigation of fund misappropriation of the Kano State Emirate Council fund.
A letter addressed to Kano State Police Commissioner dated 28th May 2019 sighted by Solacebase was signed by the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado.
A source at the commission informed Solacebase that the anti-graft agency on Tuesday secured a court order issued by a Chief Magistrate Court 18, presided by Muhammad Idris to arrest and produce the Chief of Staff to the Emir of Kano, Munir Sanusi Bayero ( Danburan Kano), Mujitaba Abba and Sani Muhammad Kwaru for further investigation on the Emirate Fund alleged misappropriation.
The commission in the letter stated that with the power vested on it under the provision of section 38 of its establishment 2008 as amended it is empowered to investigate the alleged misappropriation
