Kano State House of Assembly on Monday suspended the Managing Director of Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO) Alh Mohd Bala Inuwa
The House Speaker, Kabiru Alhassan Rurum disclose this to journalists on Monday, shortly after Committee of the whole House deliberated on various pressing issues.
Kabiru Rurum said that the House suspended the embattled managing director of KASCO for his refusal to appear before the House committee on Agriculture to defend the 2019 budget allocated to his agency.
“In spite of the efforts made severally calling on the MD to appeared before the committee all attempts prove abortive as he refused to pick the call” said the Speaker.
The Speaker added that in view of this development the House unanimously approved and declared zero allocation for the parastatal saddled with the official duty of providing agricultural supplies to farmers in Kano and other States across the federation.
