The Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Jimoh Oyewumi (Ajagungbade 1) , in Oyo State, is dead.
It was reliably gathered that the 85-year-old monarch passed on at about 1:25 am on Sunday.
Oba Oyewumi, a successful trader, reigned for almost five decades on the throne of his forefathers.

He was said to have taken ill in the past few weeks before succumbing to the cold hands of death.
Also, Mr Toyin Ajamu, Private Secretary to Oba Oyewunmi told NAN that further announcements would be made by the appropriate quarters soon.
Born on May 27, 1926 in Ogbomoso to Oba Bello Afolabi Oyewumi Ajagungbade II and Ayaba Seliat Olatundun Oyewumi, he ascended the throne on October 24, 1973.
