Armed security operatives have surrounded the home of former managing director of the NDDC, Joy Nunieh, in Port Harcourt.
The security operatives are said to have stormed the former NDDC MD’s residence in the early hours of Thursday.
Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, who rushed into the residence of the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh, following alleged police harassment, has taken her to the Government House.
It was gathered that Joy Nunieh was due to appear before a House of Representatives Committee in Abuja today.
Though the stand-off stopped Mrs Nunieh from making the trip, she will be making a presentation via zoom.
Sources said the Governor relocated Nunieh, who was supposed to be in Abuja to testify before the ad-hoc committee of the House of Representatives investigating alleged corruption in the NDDC, to the Government House in Port Harcourt.
