Kano Anti-Graft Agency Vows To Continue Investigation Of Alleged N3.4bn Misappropriation Involving Emir Sanusi
Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has vowed to continue the investigation into the alleged financial misappropriation of over 3.4 billion naira against Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
The Executive Chairman of the commission Barr. Muhyi Magaji Rimingado, stated this on Monday at a news conference while reacting to the ruling of the Federal High Court in Kano that quashed the interim investigation report.
He said that though the court has nullified the report on the basis of non-invitation of the Emir, the commission will go ahead with its investigation and invite Emir Sanusi in compliance with the court ruling.
The anti-graft boss said that another option available to the commission is to appeal the judgment as there are numerous grounds for appeal.
However, a source at the commission told Solacebase that the commission is exploring the two options available to it to deal with the situation.
