Kano State Government has approved N489.258m for the payment of 2020 NECO/National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) examinations for 29,126 students.
Solacebase reports that the government said only students that obtained five credits and above including Mathematics and English in the Qualifying Examinations would benefit from the payment.
This was contained in a statement issued by the public relations officer, Kano Ministry of Education, Aliyu Yusuf on Monday.
The statement said the state government has also approved for the release of qualifying examination results.

This followed the submissions made to the State Executive Council by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru,’’ said the statement.
According to the statement, while congratulating the students for their good performances, the Commissioner urged them to reciprocate the government’s gesture by ensuring that they pass their NECO and NBAIS Examinations in flying colours.
