Kano approves promotion of 249 civil servants

Kano State Government has approved the promotion of 249 staff from various ministries, departments and agencies.

The State Civil Service Commission Chairman, Engr. Bello Mohammad Kiru, announced this on Thursday at the end of the commission meeting for senior staff promotion exercise.

A statement issued by the commission public relations officer, Ismail Garba Gwammaja on Thursday said Engr Kiru, noted that the present administration is highly committed to the yearning and aspirations of workers wellbeing and benefits at various cadre, which includes staff promotion as at when due.

‘’He assured of the commission readiness at all times to work assiduously in the area of staff promotion, recruitment, transfer of service as well as a discipline where necessary with a view to ensuring effective and efficient service delivery at all levels,’’ said the statement.

‘’The Chairman also Lauded the present administration for according the commission freehand without any prejudice or interference in the discharge of its core mandate.

‘’Dwelling on the members of the Commission, Engr. Kiru commended them for their endurance and high sense of professional prowess at attending to issues with objectivity and hope the tempo would be sustained.’’

According to the statement, shortly after the commission meeting, the Permanent Secretary of the commission Salisu M. Gabasawa used the occasion to congratulate the newly posted Director recruitment Mohammad Alhaji Ibrahim who was transferred from Kano state senior secondary school management board (KSSSMB) as the Director recruitment of the commission and his counterpart Hajiya Fatimah Hussaini Galadanchi, former director recruitment who was transferred to the State agency for the control of aids, as the Director administration and General services.
