Kano Assembly summons Internal Revenue Service Chairman
Kano State House of Assembly has summons the Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Service, Abdulrazak Datti Salihi to appear before it over activities of the Board.
The House Majority Leader and member representing Warawa Constituency Labaran Abdul Madari, in a matter of urgent public interest, moved the motion for the invitation during a plenary session on Monday.
Solacebase reports that the motion was seconded by the Deputy Majority Leader, Abdullahi Iliyasu Yaryasa, member representing Tudun Wada Constituency.
The House unanimously agreed and the Speaker, Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari announced the invitation of the Chairman to come to the House tomorrow 14th day of September 2021.
A statement issued by Director Press, Kano State House of Assembly, Uba Abdullahi said the house had also received a letter from Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the screening and subsequent confirmation for the appointment of Members of Kano State House of Assembly Service Commission in compliance with basic provisions of Section Four subsection one.

According to the statement, the members are: Nasiru Mu’azu Kiru from Kiru Local Government, as Chairman,Ishaq Tanko Gambaga from Dala Local Government as Member,Hon Ali Abdu from Doguwa Local Government as Member,Salisu Abubakar from Makoda Local Government as Member,Isyaku Umar Rurum from Rano Local Government as Member,Ladan Sabo Ahmad from Sumaila Local Government as Member,Gambo Ibrahim Mai Wada from Makoda Local Government as Member, Ukashatu Bello from Dambatta Local Government as Member,Naziru Zakari Sheka from Kumbotso Local Government as Member and Sule Musa Adnan from Warawa Local Government as Member.

The House Committee on Public Service was mandated to undertake the screening for subsequent confirmation.
The House handed over the assignment to the Public Account Committee of the House for further Legislative action and were given three months within which to submit its report to the Honourable House.
