The statement explained that the decision to restrict Tricycle operations on these major roads was designed to pave way for the smooth take-off of the ultra-modern buses and taxis acquired recently to boost Kano integrated transport system.

It said the new transport scheme would provide alternatives, as well as ease anticipated inconveniences the ban may pose to commuters on the affected routes.

The statement added that the ban would be extended to other routes within the city soon as it took delivery of more ultra-modern buses and taxis to boost the city transport.
