Kano closes more private health facilities over registration

Kano State Government in its ongoing enforcement exercise against the registration update for private health facility defaulters has closed down 3 more facilities that have failed to settle their registration fees for the year 2020.

A statement -issued by Kano State Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA), Executive Secretary, Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu on Tuesday confirmed the development.

Solacebase reports that the erring facilities are, Optimum eye centre at Civic centre road, Orbit Dental Clinic along Sabon Titi, Mandawari and  ABC Dental Clinic along Zaria road, Kano.

Recalls that the enforcement exercise which started on Monday led to the closure of Baraka clinic and Maternity, Darmanawa, M. D. G. Specialist Hospital, Ribadu road in Tarauni local government of the state.

The operations follow months of grace accorded defaulters by the state Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA), for registrations/licenses with the agency to avoid sanction.
