Kano govt to reposition demolished roundabout monument at Naibawa flyover
Kano state government has concluded plan to reposition the iconic design on the demolished government house roundabout to a more secure place at the Naibawa flyover outskirts of the city.
SOLACEBASE had reported that Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf approved the demolition of the iconic monument stating that for security reasons the monument has to be moved to appropriate place.
A statement issued on Sunday night by Hisham Habib, Spokesperson to the Governor, said Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf who met with the designer of the Golden Jubilee edifice, Kaltume Hana at the new site for the erection of the structure, expressed the government’s commitment to infrastructural development.

According to the statement, gov. Yusuf said the place is suitable for the work and will not pose any challenge after a careful survey was conducted and assured the citizens of better projects ahead.

‘’The designer, Kaltume Gana thanked the governor for preserving her unique work which was adjudged as a masterpiece.’’

‘’The structure which was designed like traditional gate and a trumpet on top was pulled down after it was deemed not suitable for the place, and a better replacement will be put in place,’’ the statement said.
