Kano holds 6th annual prayers for late Emir Ado Bayero

The 6^th annual prayer of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, took place on Friday at Kano Central Mosque, at the Emir’s palace.

Prayers were offered to the reposed soul of late Ado Bayero, under the leadership of the current Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero.Those in attendance were the Chief Imam of Kano, Emeritus Professor Muhammad Sani Zahraddeen and other Islamic scholars, who offered special prayers for the late Emir.

Solacebase recalled that the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero died on June 6th,2014.

The Chief Imam of Kano, Emeritus Professor Muhammad Sani Zahraddeen appealed to residents to intensify prayers to end COVID-19 pandemic and guide leaders to deliver the responsibilities bestowed on them.

“We pray for Allah’s continued Blessing and Mercy to the reposed soul of our late Emir, our father, Alhaji Ado Bayero. May Allah give us all the strength to continue following his footsteps. He was a good and exemplary leader.’’

Also, the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje appreciated  Emir Aminu Bayero for organising prayers against COVID-19 pandemic in his Emirate, appreciating that, “Your Highness we are aware that you organised series of prayers even before we got the index case of the COVID-19 in the state.

‘’And we know that you are not relenting up to this time around. We are really appreciating such efforts. We also appreciate our Ulama for their prayers and all other people who showed concern and prayed for the state and the country in general.”

Governor Ganduje urged people to continue praying to Allah for further protection against all forms of crimes and criminalities.

In a remark Emir Ado Bayero thanked the governor for lifting the suspension on Friday prayers since the last Friday of the Month of Ramadhan Fasting, adding that, “Since from that time, we have been witnessing how this global pandemic of COVID-19 is subsiding in the state.”
