Kano impounds cartons of cough syrup from patent medicine vendor
The Kano State Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA) on Tuesday impounded cartons of cough syrup from a Patent Medicine Shop at Rafin Dan Nana in Gwale LGA of the State.
Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu announced this in an exclusive interview with Solacebase.
Dr. Usman Tijjani Aliyu said the vendor who claimed that the items were meant for wholesale (which is in contravention of the Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors License (PPMVL) provisions, has been handed over to the police for proper investigations and further necessary actions as provided by the relevant laws.
He said the premises has been sealed by the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria.
