A Nigerian Television Authority , NTA Kano reporter, Hadiza Muhammad Ali has emerged winner of Open Forum On Agricultural Biotechnology Nigeria (OFAB) chapter, best reporter of the year 2021.
Solacebase reports that OFAB is an Informative platform that brings together stakeholders in the field of Biotechnology and the public as a whole to enable interactions, sharing and exchange of knowledge, experiences, contacts and exploring new avenues of bringing the benefits of biotechnology to Agricultural sector.
According to organizers of the competition, more than 40 science reporters applied all over Nigeria and Hadiza Muhammad Ali won in the Television category and the overall winner in the 5th edition of OFAB award.

‘’This award aims at recognizing exemplary journalism that stimulates best practices in the adoption of agricultural technologies, particularly agricultural biotechnology, ‘’OFAB said in a statement.
‘’The award also seeks to recognize outstanding journalists in all media genres involved in the coverage of agricultural biotechnology stories in Sub-Saharan Africa.’’
Solacebase reports that the event held on Thursday in Abuja had in attendance the Director General, National Biotechnology Development Agency, Abdullahi Mustapha, Country Coordinator, OFAB Nigeria, Dr. Rose Axwell Gidado and African Agricultural Technology Fund Representative Prof Rabiu Adamu, among others.
Speaking to Solacebase over the weekend on the award, Hadiza Muhammad Ali said she achieved the feat with God’s support , her family, NTA and that of her colleagues.
