Kano LG prioritizes education , inaugurates 6 schools in one year

Ungogo local government council, in Kano State has restated commitment to prioritizing education in its development agenda.

The Council Chairman, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat announced this on Tuesday at the commissioning of blocks of classrooms at a newly established school at Zangon Bare-Bari kadawa ward, in the local government area.

Ramat said this is the sixth school established by his administration in the last one year in fulfilment of his campaign promises.

‘’The aim is to improve the standard of education by addressing overcrowded classrooms , increasing access to quality education, learning and teaching materials and reducing out of school children menace, ‘’the Council Chairman said.

He said the school is named after the District Head, Alhaji Abdulkadir Chedi, Magajin Malam for his tremendous efforts and contributions especially to education over the past 27 years that he has being on the throne.

The Council Boss explained that apart from education taking top most priority, the issue of security is also accorded attention.

This, according to him, led to the introduction of digital registration indigenes , resident ID and  provision of vehicles to security personnel and  development of a security software named LURA.

In a remark, Ungogo District Head, Alhaji Abdulkadir Chedi lauded the council chairman initiative and commitment to better the lives of residents.

The District Head represented by Alhaji Shehu Abdulkadri Chedi said the development initiative of the Chairman is unprecedented in the history of the local government.

He urged the residents to support the administration so as to deliver the dividence of democracy to the people.
