Kano PDP chieftain, Danburan Nuhu defects to APC

A former Senatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP)  Dr. Danburan Abubakar Nuhu , on Thursday, dumped the party for All Progressive Congress.

Danburan, a former House of Representatives member announced his defection while addressing thousands of his supporters, in Kano.

He said the decision to dump the PDP was adopted after consultation with family , friends well wishers and his supporters.

The former banker said he was defecting to the APC after he felt that the PDP has been hijacked and his contribution to the development of the party was not appreciated.

‘’After several meetings with my supporters, family , friends and well wishers, I have decided with my supporters to move to APC and support the struggle of Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna to emerge as governor and his deputy, Hon. Murtala Sule Garo as deputy governorship candidate,’’Danburan said.

‘’We would ensure the success of APC at all level of the elections.’’
