Kano PDP faults calls for Secondus’s resignation

1

The Peoples’ Democratic Party  (PDP) Kano State chapter has condemned calls for the resignation of the embattled national chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus.

The Kano State Chairman of the party,  Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi made this known at a news conference on Wednesday, saying that the chapter has distance itself from the calls of resignation of the National Chairman.

”We are in support of the national chairman as he has not done anything wrong to warrant calls for his resignation,” Sagagi said.

He said the party is aware that some members of PDP are forming an alliance with the ruling party APC to create crises within the PDP in Kano and at the national level with aim of destabilizing the party so as to prevent the party from winning the 2023 general elections.

According to Alhaji Sagagi , Secondus can either be removed by the national convention or if he chooses to resign on his volition.

“The defection of some governors and other leaders is not the fault of Secondus, noting that it happens from time to time in all political parties from 1999 till date, ”Sagagi added.
