Kano State Government said over 18 workers have retired from the state service and 187 others promoted in the month of September.
The Chairman Kano state civil service commission Engr Bello Mohammad Kiru disclose this on Thursday shortly after the commission routine meeting for senior staff promotion exercise.
Solacebase reports that Engr. Kiru further explained that those retired from the service of the state government are senior and junior staff, due to age or reaching 35 years in active service.
According to the statement issued by the commission spokesman, Ismaila Garba Gwammaja, about six conversion cases and eleven transfer of service were treated during the meeting, and appeal to the relevant MDAs seeking for promotion of their staff to ensure proper documentation and scrutiny the documents to verify all are intact before forwarding to the commission for their own interest.

In the statement the Chairman, then expressed appreciation to members of the commission, under the leadership of the Permanent Secretary of the commission Alh. Sani Abdullahi kofar mata for working assiduously towards achieving the desire objectives.
‘’The Permanent Secretary of the commission Alh Sani Kofar Mata, implore those promoted to reciprocate the kind gesture of the administration for approving the promotion exercise despite the current economic situation in the country, were some states cannot afford to pay even the salary as at when due, and charged them to put in their best at their various stations for accelerated development in the stat, said the statement.
