Kano Records 337 Major Crimes In 2018

The Kano State Police Command  has said it recorded 337 major crimes in the year 2018

The command said 22 cases of armed robbery, 21 cases of kidnapping, 105 cases of rape, 168 cases of homicide, and 34 cases of theft of motor vehicles among others were documented in the outgone year.

Spokesman of the command, SP Magaji Musa Majia stated this to journalists at the command headquarters in Bompai , Kano while highlighting criminal activities in the year 2018

He explained that 2,487 members of gang of Yandaba were arrested in the year, 83 different rifles, guns, pistols both English and locally made , 269 different calibre of ammunition and cartridges were recovered.

According to him this is generally low when compared with what was obtained in 2017. In terms of crime rate.
