Kano State Accountant General Resigns

Kano state Accountant General Hajia Aisha Bello on Thursday tendered her resignation to the state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje .

In a letter dated 20^th February 2018 Hajia Aisha Bello appreciated the governor for according her the opportunity to serve the state in two capacity as commissioner for Planning and Budget and subsequently as the state Accountant General.

The letter which was received by the office of the Secretary to the State government on Thursday 22^nd February did not include the reasons for her resignation.

But Sources said the resignation was not unconnected to controversy of interference in her duties by some prominent personalities in the administration.

Solacebase learnt that the Accountant General had once tendered her resignation to the governor last year, citing insubordination by sub treasurer and inability to discharge her responsibilities without interference but the governor was said to have rejected her resignation.
