Kano to sanction private health facilities without renewed registration licenses

Kano State Government has threatened to sanction Private Hospitals and clinics, Diagnostics centres, laboratories, barbing and beauty salons, traditional medicine centres and Gym fitness centres, over failure to renew their annual registration licenses.

The Executive Secretary, Private Health Institution Management Agency,(PHIMA) Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu made the threat in a statement issued on Wednesday and sent to Solacebase.

Solacebase reports that Dr Usman Aliyu in the statement urged those that have not registered also to use the window to immediately do so as the agency task force would embark on a routine check.

It warned that any private health facilities or individuals discovered to operating without valid registration licenses would be sanctioned accordingly.
