This was disclosed by the Senior Special Adviser to Kano state governor Mr. Jamilu Umar Bataiya when he paid a working visit to Kano state Internal Revenue Service (KIRS), on Wednesday.
According to him some of the planned upliftments of the markets include the construction of well-ventilated modern public toilets in the major markets as well as changing the faces of some community markets beginning with some few ones as pilots.
He explained that his visit to the revenue office was to foster a harmonious working relationship with a view to explore avenues through which the state will boost its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), adding that it is equally very important to note that creating a good business atmosphere will ensure effective revenue payment by the business community.
In his address, Chairman of the State Revenue Service Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dembo expressed joy to host the SSA adding that the gesture done to his office has shown the zeal of the SSA in ensuring an effective and sustainable business development in the state.
He further emphasizes that his office will always be ready to work with the office of the SSA in ensuring that the state regained its lost glory as northern Nigerian center of commerce.
