The Katsina State Emirate Council has suspended the District Head of Kankara, Yusuf Lawal, over alleged involvement in aiding and abating banditry in his domain.
A statement issued and signed by the Secretary to the Emirate Council, Mamman Ifo, on behalf of the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumin Usman, confirmed the development.
Although the statement, dated April 30, did not reveal categorically his role but said that the suspension is with immediate effect.
