PHOTOS: KEDCO pays advocacy visit to Solacebase headquarters
The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has reiterated determination to sustain collaboration with Solacebase online newspaper in its advocacy and awareness drive.
The Head, Corporate Communications of KEDCO, Mr Ibrahim Sani Shawai, disclosed this during an advocacy visit to the corporate headquarters of Fridabs Solacebase Communication Nigeria Limited, on Tuesday in Kano.
Shawai while appreciating the online newspaper team on their prompt, balance and fair reportage , urged the management to sustain the tempo.
He appealed to the organisation to keep supporting KEDCO in creating awareness on the implication of electricity meter by-pass by customers, electricity theft and destruction of KEDCO equipment to provision of power supply.
‘’We need you to keep educating the public and electricity consumers to help in protecting electricity installations so that we can provide more hours of electricity, in the company franchise areas,‘’ Shawai said.
‘’You have come a long way with the establishment of Solacebase online newspaper that has become an authority in reliability of its news materials and investigative reporting.’’

Abubakar Jos said the newspaper established in 2017 is focus at promoting good governance, accountability and also educating and sensitizing the people and at the same-time give voice to the downtrodden.
