Kogi Governorship: PDP’s media director resigns

The Director for Media and Communications of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Dayo Onibiyo, has resigned his appointment from the party.

In a letter dated 17th April, which a copy was sent to newsmen on Monday, Onibiyo directed his resignation letter to the State Chairman, Engr. Sam Ohotu.

It was gathered that his decision to resign from the party is not unconnected with the recently concluded primaries which produced Senator Dino Melaye as the party flagbearer for the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.

The letter reads in part: “I write to appreciate those who counted me worthy to serve in this office, dated back to June 2021, when it has become clear that the party had lost both it’s voice and image under a sitting P.R.O of the party, whose life was threatened by the ruling class as reported.
