Kwankwasiyya accuses Ganduje of selling public property

The Kwankwasiyya movement faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused Governor Abdullah Umar Ganduje of embarking on reckless sales of public property.

The movement under the leadership of former Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, sounded a note of warning to those purchasing the property under dubious deals to be ready to loss them soonest.

At a news conference on Friday, the Deputy Governorship candidate under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo described Ganduje’s action unconstitutional and intended for personal gains.

Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo said the Ganduje’s administration under APC led government has sold Daula Hotel, Triumph Publishing Company, part of the Eid Ground, Panshekara Modern Abattoir, Hajj Camp, Shahuci motor Park and the State Zoological garden.

Abdulsalam reminded that ” the Ganduje’s last five years of administration is disastrously characterized by underdevelopment and overburden of failure to the good people of Kano”.

According to him, “We are calling the attention of the state government and the wealthy egocentric individuals involved in the grabbing of public land to desist from this merciless act. The People of Kano, our party the PDP, would not give any self-serving politician and his cohorts the latitude to convert public properties for selfish use.

The PDP chieftain who insisted that the opposition party would not be deluded by the promise of return on investment to the state accused the governor of disposing of public property to few cronies and family members.

The Kwankwasiyya loyalists equally kicked against the state government failure to establish penal of the investigation against Police brutality in Kano as directed by the federal government due to the EndSARS protest.

” After the Federal government directed all the state government to constitute a panel of enquiry to investigate police brutality and ascertain the level of damages to the victims. But unfortunately, as I speak with you, right now no such panel was established by the Ganduje, while 31 states have already kick start the investigation”.
