A governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) Waziri Yakubu Gobir on Friday picked his nomination form to contest for the position of Governor of Kwara State during the 2019 elections. Solacebase report.
He obtained the nomination form in Abuja at the APC secretariat in company of some of his supporters and party stakeholders.
Speaking with journalists shortly after collecting the form the Ilorin born Wazirin Hausa said he was determined that if voted , he would liberate the people of Kwara State from the unnecessary poverty and hardship we are presently experiencing.
Yakubu Gobir noted that as an accomplished social entrepreneur he would reduce the high level of unemployment amongst the youth.
“ I am assuring workers that payment of their salaries and matters concerning pensioners would be given top priority under my administration. Market women and men would be encouraged and empowered.”
“ The APC aspirant announced that he would soon formally declare his intention to contest at a public rally in Ilorin and commended all his supporters, well wishers and elders of the party for their support so far,” said Gobir.
Gobir pledged not to disappoint the people of the state if voted during the 2019 governorship election.
