Mapping of Private Health Facilities : Kano commences second phase

Kano State Government has set out a plan to commence the second phase of mapping of all private health facilities in the 484 wards of the State.

The Executive Secretary Private Health Institutions Management Agency ( PHIMA) Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu announced this on Monday at a meeting with stakeholders on the planned mapping exercise of Medical Laboratories, Ultrasound Centers, Radiology and Physiotherapy Centers in the state.

Solacebase reports that the stakeholders at the meeting include the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists, Association of Radiologists, Association of Radiographers and Nigeria Society of Physiotherapist.

Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu said the meeting was aimed at briefing the Stakeholders on the exercise scheduled to start on Thursday.

He explained that the program supported by DFID Lafiya for Health in Nigeria is to enable the Private Health institutions management agency under the Ministry of Health to obtain accurate inventory and  Data of all the private health facilities in the entire state.
